Following the retirement announcement from Police Chief John Hofer, Mayor Mike Zaring and City Administrator Brad Ratliff worked diligently to appoint an interim Chief of Police who will lead the Harrisonville Police Department until a long-term replacement can be named.
After meeting with the command staff at the Police Department, the City is proud to announce that Lieutenant Darla Harris has been appointed as the Interim Chief of Police for the City of Harrisonville.
“Harris will be taking on this crucial role during the interim period, bringing with her a wealth of experience, dedication and understanding of our community,” Ratliff said. “Harris has been an integral part of our police force and has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.”
We are confident that Interim Chief Harris will continue to uphold the high standards of service that we expect from the Harrisonville Police Department.
Harris’s leadership is valued, and we look forward to her continued contributions in ensuring the safety and security of our community.
