The Harrisonville Electric Department is now offering security light installations for City residents who pay an electric bill.
Residents who would like security lights will pay a one-time installation charge of $100, plus a monthly charge of $8.25 per light. The lights will be LED and the City will maintain the lights as long as the customer continues to pay for the light. Residents can purchase as many lights as they need.
Customers may have lights installed on either existing City-owned poles or have a pole installed for a one-time installation charge of $100, plus $3 per pole.
City-installed poles will be 30-feet tall wooden poles, with about 24-feet of the pole extending out of the ground.
Lights will be mounted as high as possible and can set light at any direction. The installation process will take between two and three hours.
If a customer has one light and one pole installed the installation charge will be $200, plus $11.25 per month for a minimum of 36 months (3 years).
The installation charge must be paid prior to the light being installed and billing will not take place until light has been installed.
