[ARCHIVED] Date set for fall City-Wide Clean-Up event

City-Wide Clean-up spring 2019

The fall edition of the bi-annual City-Wide Clean-Up will be held on October 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your unwanted items to 2606 Rock Haven Road and drop them off for FREE!

Accepted items at no cost: non-Freon appliances and metal items, water heaters, furniture, light construction debris, limited to one 16-foot trailer, and household trash. Freon appliances will be accepted, for a $25 charge.

Items not accepted: tires, auto batteries, oil, hazardous chemicals, paint, roofing shingles and yard waste. For more information about disposing of chemicals, oils, paint, antifreeze or other household hazardous waste items, visit www.recyclespot.org/hhw.aspx

The event is only available for those who live within the City limits. To participate, residents will be required to provide proof of residency within the incorporated City limits of Harrisonville. For example, a City of Harrisonville utility billing statement.

Municipal Waste Services would also like to remind residents that they will pick up one bulky item per month, for free. To get your free item picked up, contact Municipal Waste Services (816) 406-9700 to schedule the pick-up.
