How to Interact with History

Locals can learn more about the history of Harrisonville or about relatives who grew up in Harrisonville and the surrounding counties, through various offices and resources.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9am to 8pm
Wednesday: 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 6pm
Friday and Saturday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 5pm

The Genealogy office allows customers to look up newspapers going back to the 1800s into the present. Staff will assist visitors in finding the history of their relatives or other histories that they are searching for, be that through the historical databases or through documents that are available.

Hours: Monday through Friday 10am to 3:30p.m. It is always good to call for an appointment to make sure staff members are available to help you.

Cass County records as early as 1835 are stored in the archive room. This can include tax records, marriage records, birth records, wills and more.
