HPR is currently accepting applications for the following part-time positions:
- Flyer - Now Hiring Lifeguards (PDF)
- Lifeguards (Indoor Pool) - Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency; provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services; attends and participates in in-service training sessions; perform various maintenance duties as directed in order to maintain a clean and safe facility; prepares appropriate activity reports; actively participates in teaching swim lessons as needed. Current certification as a lifeguard and/or the ability to get certified at individual's own expense is required. American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are strongly preferred. Hiring preference will be given to candidates that have a flexible schedule. Starting pay is $8.00 per hour (Opening Morning Lifeguard Starting Pay is $9.00 per hour). The cost for the Lifeguarding class at HCC is $175, (cost includes a $15 swim test fee). Candidates must be at least 15 years of age.
