2016 Court Audit
The Harrisonville Municipal Court received a rating of "Good" from Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway, CPA, following its official audit for the period of Jan. 1- Dec. 31, 2015.

The Harrisonville Municipal Court handles all traffic charges, housing code violations and any violations of the general ordinances of the City of Harrisonville.

Court Sessions

Court sessions are usually held in Council Chambers inside City Hall on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

On the first Wednesday docket of the month, incarcerated defendants are seen at 2:30 p.m. The trial docket begins at 3 p.m. and the arraignment docket begins at 5:30 p.m.

On the second Wednesday docket of the month, incarcerated defendants are seen at 4 p.m. The arraignment docket begins at 5:30 p.m.

Payable Offenses
If your fine is payable by mail, it will be indicated on the envelope attached to your ticket. Fines may be mailed to:

Make check or money order payable to the City of Harrisonville.

If the ticket is payable and is received in our office before the court date indicated at the top left corner of the ticket, no court appearance is required. If you are unsure whether your offense requires a court appearance or may be paid prior to your court date, please contact the court office.

One continuance may be granted by phone to an attorney or defendant. However, no continuances are granted for cases that have been set for trial or when a bond has been posted. Neither the judge nor the prosecutor grants continuances prior to court.
