Common Municipal Ordinance Violations
The following further describes the most common Municipal Ordinance violations:
  • Weeds, grass, brush, and other rank vegetation may not attain a height greater than 12 inches.
  • Tree limbs, dirt, rocks, etc., are not allowed to remain piled on property.
  • Inoperable or wrecked vehicles are not allowed to be stored on driveways. Vehicles must be parked on paved surfaces only.
  • Piled and accumulating junk, trash, and debris are not permitted.
  • The removal of trash, garbage, refuse, and debris from residential areas is required at least once per week.
  • Trash containers, garbage, or refuse may not be stored or placed at the curbside before 5 p.m. the day before the scheduled collection day, and is not to remain in front of the residence later than 9 p.m. on collection day.
  • House numbers which are at least 3 inches high are required for your police and fire protection.
  • The exterior of houses and outbuildings shall be kept in good repair and painted.
  • All swimming pools capable of holding 24 inches of water or more shall be fenced with a 4-foot high fence.
  • Garage sale signs are not allowed to be placed on utility poles.
