Salt Storage Roof Replacement Bid

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk at Harrisonville City Hall, 300 E. Pearl St., Harrisonville, Missouri, until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at which time proposals for:

SALT STORAGE ROOF REPLACEMENT

Will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of city hall. Address your sealed packages to the attention of the city clerk and mark on the outside of the envelope “Salt Storage Roof Replacement.”

The work under this Contract consists of the following:

The bidder shall provide the labor, materials, and equipment to remove and replace the roof to the Salt Storage building at 1403 S. Independence St., Harrisonville, Missouri, 64701 including but not limited to:
• Remove existing roof material and insulation to wood decking.
• Inspect and repair wood decking as needed per 4x8 sheet of decking material.
• Install new roof consisting of one layer synthetic underlayment and one layer 30 year shingles per manufacturers instructions and 2012 International Building Code.
• Install new drip edge, new roof vents of like design, and flashing 26 gage minimum.
• Clean up site and Remove all roofing debris.
• Replace exterior fascia board with similar wood board per linear foot.
• Cover fascia with baked on painted white aluminum 26 gage minimum fascia cover.
• Other specifics:
1. Underlayment--ASTM D 226 or 4869 Type 1 ASTM D 6757
2. Attachment--Min 4 nails per strip
Min 2 nails per shingle
3. Shingles--Wind class per ASTM D 7158 G or H
or per ASTM D 3191 F
Fire Class B Shingles
4. Metal = see choices above

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities, irregularities, or informalities therein; and to determine which is the lowest, responsive, responsible and best bid to accept. Bid may be modified or withdrawn by written request of the bidder received in the office of the City Clerk, prior to the time and date for bid opening.

Bid Bond: No bid bond required.

Prevailing Wage: This project is estimated below the $75,000 threshold and does not warrant prevailing wage.
