Personnel & Staffing

The fire department is headed by the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief ( EMS Director), Captain, and three Senior Medics. The department has 3 FF/PM, 4 FF/EMT, 30 Part-Time FF/EMT, FF/PM and 2 support personnel.

The department provides 24 hour coverage of emergency services.  The Harrisonville Emergency Services is unique in its scheduling of personnel.  There are five (5) fire suppression personnel working Monday through Friday (8:00am to 4:30 pm) and a volunteer staff along with career staff responds to calls after career hours and on the weekends and holidays.  There are two paramedic ambulances staffed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.  Volunteers are part of the history of the department and still valuable today.
