Setting Up a New Account
To set up new utility service with the City of Harrisonville, please come to the Utility Office in City Hall at 300 E. Pearl during regular business hours to complete the application process. Please bring a valid driver’s license or state-issued picture ID with you.

It generally takes about 10 minutes to set up a new account provided all necessary information is provided on the application.  However, set up time can vary depending on customer volume.

Same-day service is available as long as your new account is set up by 11:30 a.m. New utility accounts set up after 11:30 a.m. can be effective the next business day.

New residential customers must also pay a deposit at the time of setting up new utility service.  Deposits range from $75 to $200 depending on the type of service to be provided. Customers must also pay their first month’s refuse charge when setting up their new account.
